more of Kate.
Topping countless best dressed lists this year and Drapers, too, put her in first place on its own list of the Best-Dressed Personalities for 2005, Kate is unsurprisingly appearing as a strong woman after all that paparazzi whoosh and getting too damn high for her own good, literally.

Sienna Miller takes second place followed by Gwen Stefani, Dita Von Teese, Nicole Richie, Mischa Barton, Madonna, Charlize Theron, Brittany Murphy and, in tenth place, Cate Blanchett.
Gwen Stefani?Ew?And whoops where's Paris?

.rise of kate

She's back in a big way after all the mess the naughty little (well not so little) Kate has put herself in, signing contracts and showing up everywhere. Just look at the Scandaleuse Beaute in the Cavalli and Longchamp campaigns.Stunning.

You probably won't get to see the Virgin Mobile ad she's starring in, so you can check it out here.

.debut my love

The heavy eye makeup works. The fur everything. Those boots.Pretty volume.Military.Velvet and all else Fall is finally gone. The season was a blast and definitely seriously luxurious.

These are my favourites from Vogue US Dec 05 edition, probably the best photoshoot i've seen for Vogue 2005:

Cut back all the frills now, this spring's minimalism is promising and fuss-free when it comes to make-up.

WHAT'S IN
1. Skinny jeans
2. White
3. Nude and glowing makeup
4. Pastels
5. Pleats
6. Chunky shoes ala wedges (still!)
7. Chloe
8. Lace!
9. Victorian
10. Geisha

What's Not laters.

A great way to start a new blog for the new year, here's Caviarr!New blog for the season. And lastly..

Coolest Act 2005:
Karl Lagerfeld.
The wonder is not how he does so much, but how he has so much fun doing it. A master at combining business and pleasure, Karl Lagerfeld ended the year by importing Chanel's resort collection to New York and yukking it up around town with new pal Lindsay Lohan.A fashion superman, this man is rude and in your face, and he definitely doesn't give a heck. But that's what i loveeee about him.

Merry New Year!
